The 2021 Acura TLX features styling cues borrowed from the gorgeous Type S concept vehicle.
For a premium audio experience inside of the new TLX, Acura again turned to Panasonic for an ELS Studio setup.
In the Advance and Type S versions of the 2021 TLX, an ELS Studio 3D system will be available featuring 16 channels, 17 speakers and 710 watts of power.
To provide a more immersive audio experience, four slim speakers have been incorporated into the TLX's headliner in key locations, for a better listening experience for front and rear passengers.
There are Twin Telford corner-mounted subwoofers placed at opposing angles to cut down on unwanted rattles and vibrations, and titanium dome tweeters for clearer vocals.
All are controlled by a multichannel amplifier with Panasonic's Acoustic Motion Control technology.
With Acoustic Motion Control, engineers can optimize each speaker independently for studiolike audio.
The result is a sound system that belts out crystal-clear vocals and instrumentals.
The 2021 Acura TLX will hit dealers later this fall.
The more performance-oriented TLX Type S will arrive next spring.
