2020 Toyota Supra is a divisive devil in red
Love it or hate it, the new Supra certainly stands out in a crowd.
This is the 2020 Toyota Supra! It's the return of a Japanese performance icon.
But, believe it or not, there's more than a little German DNA in here...
In fact, this car shares a platform with the BMW Z4. Engine, chassis, suspension... it's all pretty much the same.
That shared parentage is actually most visible on the inside, which you'd be mistaken for thinking was just another BMW.
But the styling is rather more dramatic on Toyota's car, though not everyone will appreciate it.
The GR on the back stands for "Gazoo Racing," Toyota's racing wing.
The double-bubble roof provides good headroom, and also harkens back to the epic 2000GT sports car of the 1960s.
The car is deceptively small, five inches shorter than the last Supra sold in the US, the MKIV.
It's the nose that's most controversial for most folks. What do you think?
The new Supra hits dealerships soon at a starting price of $49,990, plus $930 destination. Expensive? Yes, but then this is nothing short of a premium sports car experience.
