2019 Ram 1500 goes up and down for SEMA

FCA is showing off two very different modified versions of its new full-size pickup.

2019 Mopar Modified Ram 1500 Rebel Concept

The 2019 Mopar-Modified Ram 1500 Rebel Concept doesn't have a particularly evocative name, but it's all business, riding atop a 2-inch lift and benefiting from a raft of bolt-on accessories.

A bolt-in Ram Bar sport bar sits in the bed and features five 5-inch LED lights, as well as a built-in spare tire carrier.

One advantage of sticking with FCA's stuff over the aftermarket? Non-performance-oriented Mopar accessories don't void the car or truck's warranty, plus they can usually be rolled into the vehicle's monthly payments.

A new set of satin black Rebel graphics finish off the bed.

These graphics aren't production, but they sound like they're headed in that direction.

Both the Low Down and the Mopar-Modified Ram 1500 Rebel Concept shown here feature a prototype power-bulge hood.

Putting the spare tire in the bed increases ground clearance and off-road ability at the expense of payload space.

It also looks pretty darn cool.

2019 Ram 1500 Low Down Concept

Some 2019 Ram 1500 models are available with two-tone paint, but none have a color-split like the Low Down.

This customized SEMA show truck features a gloss black upper and a billet silver lower, with the two colors bisected by a thin stripe of brass monkey bronze.

Ram calls this color palette "Brassphault."

The Ram 1500 Low Down concept sits lower to the ground thanks to a prototype 2-inch drop kit front and rear.

The Low Down features a slick hard-top tonneau cover and minimal badging.

The truck also features a spray-in bedliner to keep the bed safe from dings and scratches.
