2019 Lincoln Nautilus: A new name and a new face

On the outside, the most noticeable change morphing the MKX into the Nautilus is the new Lincoln front end that we first saw on the Continental and Navigator.     

While it isn't wildly emotional, it does strike a clean and classy look with a reasonably sized chrome grille.     

Wheel designs and new badges on the front doors are also changed for 2019.

The cabin is mostly carryover with lots of space for passengers in front and back, while soft leathers cover most major surfaces throughout for a premium feel.

On the tech front, it's the familiar and capable Sync 3 system carrying the infotainment torch with an 8-inch touchscreen running navigation, a Revel audio system and Wi-Fi hotspot. 

Sync 3 also features standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. 

A new 2.0-liter turbo base engine joins the lineup for 2019, but the car pictured here is equipped with a bigger and badder 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 churning out 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque.    

That works with a new eight-speed automatic trans that together return an estimated 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.     

On the Black Label versions of the Nautilus, an adaptive suspension and 21-inch wheels come standard. 

With its base, four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive, the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus starts at $41,335, including $995 for destination. The Black Label model pictured here stickers for a lofty $69,380.
