The 2019 Silverado will face off against an all-new 2019 Ram 1500 and Ford's latest F-150, along with Japanese-badged products like the Nissan Titan and Toyota Tundra.

Chevy's "Cowboy Cadillac" High Country trim returns, and this time it's got a standard power raise and lower tailgate that can be operated via key fob.

A new street-minded RST trim is more about style than added performance. It features body-color trim, LED lighting and wheels that are up to 22 inches.

Like some down-home chrome on your pickup? The LTZ is positively lathered with the stuff, including accents on the grille, mirrors, door handles and beltline. Shiny, shiny.

GM actually previewed the new Trailboss trim at a Texas media event marking the centennial of Chevrolet trucks.

The Trailboss looks impressive, but whether it's a full-fledged Ford F-150 SVT Raptor competitor remains to be seen.

The Silverado Custom trim features 20-inch painted alloys, LED taillamps, body-color trim and available dual exhaust pipes tucked up into the bumper.

Chevy says the beds on its trucks are nearly 7 inches wider than before and they feature 21 tie-down points -- 12 are fixed and 9 are movable.

Chevy says that the truck's new skin is 7 percent more aerodynamically efficient than before, but thus far, it's not providing a drag coefficient figure.

The Silverado's new frame is 88 pounds lighter than before, yet it offers 10 percent greater rigidity.

Increased use of high strength steels of various grades and aluminum swing panels (hood, doors, tailgate) means that the Silverado is up to 450 pounds lighter than its 2018 forebearer.

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is one of the most aerodynamic full-size trucks available due to extensive use of aero features. The integrated spoiler at the rear edge of the cab directs air onto the tailgate lip, reducing wind drag from the bed. Changes like these result in a 7 percent increase in aerodynamic efficiency.
