2019 BMW X4: A sportier and roomier sports activity coupe

The second-generation BMW X4 will debut for the 2019 model year. It follows a the successful first-gen model that sold more than 200,000 units worldwide since arriving for the 2015 model year.  

The new X4's updated platform features a wide track and lower center of gravity to help improve handling. 

Aero improvements give the new X4 a slipper drag coefficient of 0.30. 

The X4 xDrive30i serves as the base model and is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

The only transmission available for the X4 is a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic. 

BMW says the X4 xDrive30i can hit 60 mph in just 6 seconds.

Behind the rear seats, the 2019 BMW X4 features 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space. 

Folding the rear seats down grow cargo space to 50.5 cubic feet.

Controlling infotainment inside of the 2019 X4 is BMW's latest iDrive system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display that features navigation, updated voice control and gesture controls.

The 2019 BMW X4 goes on sale this in July and starts at $51,445, including $995 destination.
