2018 Nissan 370Z is aging well, but deserves a redesign

We recently spent some time in the 2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition.

The Heritage Edition honors the 50th anniversary of the iconic Nissan sports car since its launch under the Datsun brand.

The 370Z features a 3.7-liter V6 engine, pumping out 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of the twist. 

The rear-wheel drive sports car allows for two passengers and very, very few of their belongings.

The Heritage Edition builds on the base model and is available in Chicane Yellow or Magnetic Black.

Regardless of exterior color, the interior of the Heritage Edition features yellow trim. 

The Heritage Edition is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic. A new Exedy high-performance clutch is easier to work than in the 2017 370Z.

While a seven-inch touchscreen is available on upper trim lines, the Heritage Edition has in-dash storage instead of a navigation system. 

Regardless of trim, the 2018 370Z is low on driver's aids. There is no lane departure warning or blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control is not even on the radar.
