2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has a bad name but a sleek look

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will make its official debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Its rear hatch features a spoiler that bisects the hatch and reminds me of the Pontiac Aztek.

It will slot between the Outlander Sport and Outlander when it arrives in the US some time in late 2017 or early 2018.

The interior features a simple layout with a floating infotainment screen.

A touchpad will be used to manipulate the infotainment system, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There's also a head-up display!

The Eclipse Cross will come with one of two powertrains.

Buyers can choose from a 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine with a CVT or a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel with an eight-speed automatic.

The 1.5-liter gas engine is likely the only engine that will come to the US.

All-wheel drive is available, as well.
