2018 Kia Stinger GT is a master of Germany's Nürburgring
Kia has spent extensive time at Germany's Nürburgring to develop the 2018 Stinger. The development time appears to have been well spent with the new GT more than holding its own on the Green Hell.
Kia Stinger prototype vehicles are each subjected to 480-laps around the Nürburgring.
All the mileage around the Green Hell were used for tuning of the suspension, brakes and drivetrain.
GT models are powered by a turbocharged V6 engine making 365 horsepower.
V6 models come standard with 19-inch wheels and Brembo brakes.
All Stingers come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
According Kia, the Stinger GT is capable of hitting 60 mph in 4.9 seconds.
When the Stinger arrives in US showrooms, it will be available with 18- or 19-inch wheels.
A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 255 horsepower will serve as the base engine for the Stinger.
The only transmission available for the Stinger is an eight-speed automatic.
The Stinger will go on sale in the US this December.
