2018 Jaguar XJR575 is an unexpected performance hero
575 horsepower yields a fleet-footed, 186-mph feline.
Jaguar's 5.0-liter supercharged V8 gets a 25-pony bump to 575 horsepower and comes with 517 pound-feet of torque.
It goes from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The top speed is let out to 186 mph, the highest top speed of any XJ ever.
Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) has contributed two unique shades of paint just for the XJR575 -- Satin Corris Grey and Velocity Blue.
The XJ's low-slung dash and Riva boat-inspired surround still looks great, even though it's been on the market since 2009.

Even without the model-specific paint, you'll be able to spot an XJR575 by its unique front bumper and gloss-black air intakes, along with its side sills and subtle rear spoiler.
It's unclear how far away an XJ replacement model is. In the short term, Jaguar seems to be focusing on building out a line of crossover SUVs instead.
The aluminum-bodied Jaguar XJ has always been a surprisingly great handler, and the XJR575 is expected to keep up the tradition.
