2018 Audi R8 gets new Audi Sport limited-edition model

Available in Audi Sport colors, the R8 Coupe Audi Sport Edition will only be available in base V10 trim in the US.

Just 200 Sport Edition models are planned globally, and the US may only see perhaps a tenth of that volume.

In addition to the gloss red side blades and mirror caps, a blacked-out rear diffuser and front grille are part of the package.

Various Audi Sport color-scheme inspired paints are available, but the red side blades are a constant if you want the Sport Edition.

Nappa leather seats are done up in red and black.

The red leather section at the 12 o'clock position on the steering wheel is mirrored by the start button.

That's a lot of red.

The Sport Edition's mechanicals are unchanged from standard V10 models.

You won't mistake your Sport Edition for other R8s at your local Cars and Coffee gatherings.

20-inch Y-spoke alloys painted gloss black are part of the package.

Red mirror mittens!

Illuminated kick plates are also part of the deal.

US pricing has not yet been established for the Audi Sport Edition.
