2018 Acura RLX puts the focus on aesthetics, safety
The RLX's midcycle refresh brings a new nose and standard safety equipment into the mix.
The 2018 Acura RLX focuses on adding more standard equipment and refreshing the exterior.
There's a new nose up front, which matches every other new Acura's grille.
Out back, there's a new set of LED taillights and exhaust tailpipes.
The standard RLX comes with a 310-horsepower V6 and front-wheel drive. A new 10-speed automatic is standard.
Opt for the three-motor hybrid, though, and output jumps to 377 horsepower, and you gain two additional driven wheels.
The interior is largely the same as before, save for a new seat design.
The RLX's three-motor hybrid system is based on the NSX, as is the new MDX Hybrid.
See? They've all got motors. Basically the same car.
There's no escaping Acura's grille, but at least it looks much nicer this time around.
The 2018 Acura RLX goes on sale this fall.
Pricing has yet to be announced.
