2017 Subaru Impreza is all new, but looks familiar

This is the 2017 Subaru Impreza!

It's about as new as it gets for an existing model, with some 95 percent of the car having seen changes.

The car is longer and wider, but lower, and weighs no more than the outgoing model.

The engine has been updated as well, making a few more horsepower but, crucially, enabling 38 mpg on the highway.

The chassis is completely new, and the car drives remarkably well.

It also looks very new, these LED foglights one of the few traces of the brand's history.

Starting at just over $18,000, the Impreza is an affordable car.

And with the five-door wagon model costing just $500 more, it's practical, too.

Fully kitted out you're looking at around $30,000, which isn't bad for all that you're getting.
