2017 Jeep Cherokee: The sleek four-wheeler
While the front-end design may be polarizing, you've got to give Jeep respect for making a bold statement.
Oh, my! Just look at those headlights!
Besides the traditional seven-slot grille there isn't much Jeepiness in the front fascia.
A smaller 2.4-liter engine is standard, but my Overland trim came with a 3.2-liter V6.
This motor puts out 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
While not Trail Rated, the Cherokee still has a two-speed transfer case and driving modes for snow, sport and sand/mud.
It's not as hard-core as say, a Wrangler, but it will still best most anything in its class when the pavement melts away.
From up here the design isn't quite so daring.
You can get a Cherokee in two-wheel drive, but really... why would you?
The Overland trim is full of leather, leather and more leather.
The latest Uconnect system is available in the Cherokee.
