New colors, new features underpin an otherwise not-new Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang (pictures)
The GT350 was an all-new car last year, and so 2017's update is tiny, but welcome nevertheless.
If you were on the fence about the high-performance, track-friendly Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang, perhaps 2017's updates will pique your interests.
Two colors are no longer offered -- deep impact blue and competition orange.
Three new colors are on offer, though -- ruby red metallic, lightning blue and grabber blue.
The Track Package is now standard equipment for all GT350s, and that includes a decklid spoiler, a strut tower brace, magnetorheological shocks and coolers for the engine oil, differential and transmission.
The first of two new packages is the Electronics Package, which includes Ford's new Sync 3 infotainment system, navigation and a nine-speaker premium audio system.
The second new package is the Convenience Package, which includes everything from the Electronics Package, as well as power leather sport seats.
We have no idea how much all these fancy new baubles will affect the GT350's sub-$50,000 starting price. Ford didn't make mention of it.
