2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE is back and looking for a track
Chevrolet announces plans to return the 1LE performance package to the Camaro lineup for 2017 offering suspension, cooling and styling upgrades. However, while previous 1LE iterations were exclusive to the V-8 model, the sixth-generation model will also offer a 1LE package for the V-6.
Chevrolet has announced that the 1LE performance package will return to the Camaro lineup for the 2017 model year.
For the first time, V-6 models of the Camaro will be available with a 1LE package that adds the suspension from the SS, forged 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires and Brembo front brakes.
For the V-8, the 1LE package will add the Magnetic Ride Control suspension.
The 1LE package will be available in late 2016.
The 1LE V-6 will offer more supportive Recaro front seats as options.
Brake upgrades on the 1LE V-8 include six-piston Brembo front calipers and four-piston Brembo calipers.
Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser says the 1LE V-6 turns in similar lap times to the previous generation V-8 model.
