BMW banishes the Bangle Butt with the unveiling of the 2012 BMW 6-Series convertible.
The new model also features a revised front end that more closely resembles that of the newly released 7-Series.
Under the hood, the 650i Convertible is powered by a 4.4-liter V-8 that generates 400-horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.
Fuel economy, pricing, and packaging have not yet been announced.
The 6-Series' proportions are largely unchanged for this revision.
BMW claims that the convertible's top can be raised or lowered in a hair under 20-seconds.
The 650i is equipped with a rear view camera. It's not visible in this photo, because the motorized camera is hidden behind BMW's roundel badge.
Inside, the new 6 smacks of now classic BMW design. New to this model is a larger 10.2-inch display, commanded by the console-mounted iDrive controller.
Perhaps its our eyes, but it appears that the 6-Series' profile has become a bit more shark-like.
