Check out all 13 car commercials from Super Bowl 51
This year's big game's ad blitz included a big showing from newcomer Alfa Romeo and an inspirational spot by Audi, but surprisingly few ads from American automakers.
'Riding Dragons'
Italian automaker Alfa Romeo kicked off the big game with a spot called "Dragons" that reintroduced the brand to American audiences.
'Mozzafiato'
"Mozzafiato," the second of three Alfa adverts, showcases the gorgeous curves of the Giulia sport sedan.
'Man and Machine'
Lexus' ad entitled "Man and Machine" shows off some crazy dance moves and the automaker's new LC and LS models.
'Not So Pee Wee Football'
Buick continues with its "I can't believe that's a Buick" series of ads with a humorous spot that highlights the new Cascada.
'Easy Driver'
Directed by the Coen Brothers, this Mercedes-Benz advertisement features Peter Fonda and the new Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster. That's a lot of talent crammed into 30-seconds.
'Hero’s Journey'
Kia taps comedy star Melissa McCarthy for this slapstick ad for the eco-friendly Kia Niro.
‘Go Further’
One of the longest ads in this lineup, Ford's "Go Further" highlights the issues with mobility as it stands today and how the automaker plans to address them in the future.
'Daughter'
Perhaps my favorite ad spot of the big game is Audi's "Daughter" which highlights the automaker's commitment to pay equality.
'Dear Predictable'
Alfa returned to the screen late in the game with "Dear Predictable." Here, the new Giulia says goodbye to dull predictability.
'Yearbooks'
Honda's "Yearbooks" ad seeks to inspire while it promotes the new Honda CR-V, but all it actually did was creep out everyone at my Super Bowl party with its creepy CGI faces.
'A Better Super Bowl'
Hyundai returns as an official sponsor of the Super Bowl this year and brings this spot to the big game, sharing the stories of the men and women of America's armed forces.
'How far?'
The lone auto accessory maker in this lineup, WeatherTech's action-packed spot manages to showcase how its products are made and how they benefit drivers.
'The Fate of the Furious'
Ending the list with a bang is this short spot for the upcoming eighth entry into the "Fast and Furious" franchise.
