There are plenty of opportunities for tourists to take a trip around the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife, the 12.94-mile circuit in west Germany affectionately known as the Green Hell. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you really want to get the full experience, it's probably best to hand off the driving to someone with strong 'Ring experience...and a 200-mph sports car.
From now until the end of October, enthusiasts can throw down €295 (that's $335, directly converted) and take a 30-minute weekend ride around the Green Hell in a . Those sitting shotgun will have to wear a race suit, a helmet and a head and neck support device, because, you know, safety first. The Nürburgring isn't exactly known for its ample runoff.
The car itself has been upgraded, too. Jaguar's given its sports car a roll cage, racing seats and racing harnesses, all in the name of occupant safety. The cars will be bright orange, too, presumably to let all the tourists know to get the hell out of the way.
As you'll be strapped in tight, you may not be able to whip out your phone for a shaky, portrait-oriented video. Jaguar's got you covered, though, as it's also put some cameras in the F-Type SVR for later sharing. We can pretty much guarantee it'll be better quality than whatever you try to throw on Snapchat while cresting Flugplatz.
