XCAR Awards 2013: Best Shoot
There have been an awful lot of XCAR shoots involving an enormous range of cars shot in a myriad of locations, and this award was created to honour the best shoot we've ever had.

There are a huge number of factors beyond your control when filming cars. Not only have we had our fair share of horrendous conditions, there have been those days when everything went perfectly, as if some benevolent figure was smiling down on us from above.
Like the Rolls-Royce Corniche. Shooting in London at night can be magical enough, but add a 1973 luxury convertible on a perfectly still evening, and you have quite the magic mix.
Or the Jaguar XKR-S, shot in Wales on a bitterly cold yet perfectly clear morning, stunning light combined with that car made for quite the killer combination.
Having a group of classic and iconic cars together to play with on a track all to yourself, is a no-brainer, so our BMW Roadsters feature, along with the Ford GT film, rank up there as some of our best days so far.
You can't beat the deserts and mountains of Morocco, and having a brand new Range Rover meant there was no terrain we couldn't conquer.
Or perhaps our first hypercar, the Pagani Huayra? Two days in Italy and meeting Horacio Pagani was a shoot no one on the team will ever forget.
And the final mention must go to the BAC Mono -- such a stunning and eye-catching car was bound to cause attention, and being the first publication to drive it on public roads was quite the coup.
But the winner must be
none other than the Audi R8 V10 Plus. It might not be the most glamorous, but
everything went so perfectly, the car looked stunning in the light of the
Brecon Beacons, and the film is something the whole team is proud of creating.
If you haven't watched it already, we urge you to give it a go.
