Volvo built the world's fastest truck, and it also built one very fast touring car. While the two would ordinarily never meet, that wouldn't be very fun, so the automaker forced the two to battle to the death for our entertainment.
Okay, maybe the death part isn't accurate, but the showdown is rather interesting. The Iron Knight packs 2,400 horsepower, can go from 0-62 mph in 4.6 seconds and two FIA world land speed records. The Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 has just 400 horsepower, but since it's lighter, it gets to 62 mph in exactly the same amount of time. Sounds perfect for a head-to-head battle.
The two titans square off in both a drag race and a road race, the latter of which has a staggered start to make things more interesting. I won't give away the result, but suffice it to say, the truck can hustle just as hard as you think it can. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to apply for a job in Volvo's marketing department.
