The news-packed 2013 Frankfurt auto show has only just begun to cool and we're already starting to get previews of the upcoming 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Sweet.
Kicking off in November, SEMA is known as one of the (if not THE) largest aftermarket automotive shows and is home to some of the craziest customs that you'll ever hope to see. So, it's only fitting that the first preview to make its way to my inbox is a 1,000-horsepower Hyundai Genesis Coupe tuned by Bisimoto Engineering.
Starting with a factory-freshwith its 3.8-liter Lambda V-6 engine, Bisimoto achieves this massive display of power with the addition of two massive Bisimoto/Turbonetics BTX6462 turbochargers. The Coupe is also augmented with a variety of internal engine upgrades to help it to handle the increased airflow and pressure, a stainless-steel exhaust, a lowered suspension, big wheels, and more. This being a show car, there is also a host of visual upgrades, including carbon fiber hood and deck lid by ARK, custom Electric Blue paint, and a graphics package.
Oddly, I'm not too surprised at the Hyundai's lofty power claims: Bisi Ezerioha, the man behind Bisimoto Engineering, is a bit of a SEMA staple at this point and is the same gent responsible for a, a , and, most recently, a with a turbo large enough to .
