Stingray star car

The Stingray is back at General Motors--but only as a styling exercise and movie prop. At the Chicago Auto Show, GM design chief Ed Welburn showed off the sleek silver design but wouldn't say whether it's a model for future Corvettes. The car, whose split rear window brings back memories of the 1959 Stingray race car and the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette, will be a character called Sideswipe in the summer movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
