Having your cake and eating it, too, is really the only way to go.

Cars are Andrew's jam, as is strawberry. After spending years as a regular ol' car fanatic, he started working his way through the echelons of the automotive industry, starting out as social-media director of a small European-focused garage outside of Chicago. From there, he moved to the editorial side, penning several written features in Total 911 Magazine before becoming a full-time auto writer, first for a local Chicago outlet and then for CNET Cars.

Well, that was fast. Shortly after debuting the all-new 2017 Panamera in 4S and Turbo flavors, Porsche's already debuting another model, and it hasn't even hit dealerships yet! Say hello to the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, which is just as drop-dead gorgeous as the other Panny variants, but now it's electrified.

Featuring a 14.1-kWh battery and a 136-horsepower, 295-pound-foot electric motor, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid will drive up to 31 miles on electricity alone. The full brunt of its electric power is now available as soon as the pedal is depressed, as well.

Combined with its 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, net output is 462 horsepower and 516 torques. It's certainly not a hippie-mobile, with a 0-to-60 time of 4.4 seconds. It'll rocket all the way up to 172 mph, to boot. Power reaches all four wheels after moving through Porsche's eight-speed dual-clutch transmissions.

As with many other plug-ins, the Panamera can be dealt with remotely. Charging and cabin cooling can be set through the Porsche Car Connect app, which is available for iOS and Android, as well as Apple Watch. The gauges have been tweaked to better showcase its hybrid operation, and there are multiple specific vehicle modes for hybrid operation, as well.

Pricing has not yet been announced, but the Panamera Hybrid is expected to go on sale by summer 2017.
