Did anybody tell Nissan that there aren't any cars in "Star Wars"?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 27, 2016) ñ Nissan today unveiled expanded details of its new promotional campaign in support of the upcoming film ìRogue One: A Star Wars Story.î The newly revised 2017 Nissan Rogue compact SUV is the centerpiece of the fully integrated campaign that features Star Wars-themed TV ads, social and experiential content. As one of five global brands joining with Lucasfilm to launch promotional campaigns for the first-ever standalone Star Wars story, Nissan also debuted today a numbered, limited-edition, full-sized-replica Death Trooper helmet that comes with purchase of the previously announced 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition vehicle.

Despite the complete absence of cars from the "Star Wars" universe, Nissan has a special edition based on the upcoming movie "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," and it's even made a commercial for it.

Nissan's super long name for this special edition is 2017 Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition. The car is based on the new 2017 Rogue, except there's a special badge on it, which Lucasfilm helped design. There's plenty more, too, but we won't see it until the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. When you buy one, though, you also get a limited edition Death Trooper replica helmet, which is pretty cool.

The 30-second spot highlights the car's active safety features amid a flurry of "Star Wars" action, involving AT-STs, TIE Fighters, Imperial Stormtroopers and droids. Nissan will also roll out a minute-long commercial that will be shown in movie theaters.

(And before any of you head to the comments, yes, I know Mon Mothma's line is in reference to the second Death Star. Close enough.)
