We've known for a while that Lexus was planning on getting into the car subscription game with its Complete Lease program, but we only had a general time frame during which we could expect it to launch. Lexus announced on Thursday that the program is up and running in seven states across the US.

The Lexus Complete Lease program -- like most car subscription models -- offers customers a single flat monthly fee that includes the cost of the vehicle, insurance and maintenance. The program is built around a two-year 20,000-mile lease and can be had with the new Lexus UX and UX Hybrid models.

"This type of alternative leasing program aligns with the heart of Lexus, providing an amazing guest experience in every way," Lisa Materazzo, vice president of Lexus marketing, said in a statement. "By appealing to those looking to simplify their monthly commitment, the Lexus Complete Lease program makes the process more streamlined for our guests."

Currently, 80 Lexus dealers are participating in the Complete Lease program in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Complete Lease comes across as a great way to get younger buyers into Lexus dealers, provided that subscription program is administered successfully.
