It's a rare day when you log onto social media and don't see some rumor about a new Ford Bronco accompanied by images of concept trucks from days gone by. (Or maybe that's just me.)
Much as we love those classic pictures, they're getting a little tired. Which is why one fan forum whipped up a new set of renderings, and goodness gracious, they're gorgeous.
The administrators at Bronco6G.com released a series of renderings that look at a new Bronco through a different lens. The group used first-generation Broncos and Ford's 2004 concept as jumping off-points, and you can see that retro styling in the round headlights and squared-off body panels.
Were this hulking mass to come to fruition -- and it may, considering Ford's rolling out four new SUV nameplates in the next few years -- it would likely do battle with the Jeep Wrangler, which currently lacks any real competition in its segment. A new Bronco's body would likely rest atop a frame shared with a new mid-size Ranger pickup.
Whether or not a new Bronco is on the way, we've got to tip our hats to the graphic artists that came up with this rendering. It's a good'un.
