Donut-ception: Nissan does donuts to celebrate National Donut Day

This 370Z makes its way through approximately 2,800 pounds of sprinkles.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 3, 2016) – In celebration of June 3 as #NationalDonutDay, Formula Drift icon Chris Forsberg took to a production set in Southern California to put a unique spin on making donuts. Forsberg’s mission was to fling thousands of the tiny sprinkles onto more than 300 donuts using a Nissan 370Z NISMO as a utensil.

Today is National Donut Day, which isn't a real holiday, but it involves donuts, so I'm willing to look the other way. Along with insane lines at every donut shop in town, the day is also marked with multiple attempts from #brands to appeal to our inner sweet teeth. Nissan's video is one of the best things to come out of this spurious yet delicious occasion.

The video involves a Nissan 370Z doing a different kind of donut atop a floor covered in sprinkles. Over 2,800 pounds of sprinkles were used, and sitting behind the wheel is Formula Drift driver Chris Forsberg. Slow motion photography, glorious rooster tails made of sprinkles...and it's only a minute long, so like that donut in your hand, it's over all too quickly.

Nissan tells us not to attempt this stunt at home, but let's be honest, who wouldn't do something like this if there were two pallets' worth of sprinkles lying about? It's either this, or some sort of Scrooge McDuck dive into a bank vault filled with 'em. The former sounds much less painful though.
