For years, Crave has suffered from the little-known medical condition that causes a person's right foot to mash down on the accelerator pedal when it's least convenient. We've sought medical help, but it seems technology may be our only hope.
Have a butcher's at the Beltronics Pro RX65 -- purportedly the most advanced radar and laser detector in the world. You simply install it in your car, stomp on the go pedal, and it'll alert you whenever you're anywhere near a speed-detection system.
It will detect any speed-calming device that uses laser, or the X, K, SuperWide KA or Safety Warning System (SWS) radar bands. That covers pretty much every type of speed detector, including yellow-box GATSOs. Unlike many devices of this type it also works against detector detectors so there's very little chance it'll miss PC plod hiding up ahead with a radar gun.
Our only complaint is that it looks rather like a digital alarm clock -- the bane of our early mornings. Oh, and it costs a not unsubstantial £200. Still, there's no monthly subscription fee and it could save you a heap of time and money in the long run.
