The New South Wales police force is no stranger to unique police cars. The latest entry to its fleet of rotating promotional cars is the hopped-up, a quick ol' hatchback that won't see any pursuit duty whatsoever.
Audi donated the S7 to the New South Wales Police for 12 months. It'll be used as a promotional vehicle, traveling around to participate in different youth engagement and community programs. It could also be used to pursue criminals, but I imagine Audi wants its car back in one piece.
Sporting a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, the S7 puts out 450 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Sent through all four wheels, it will rocket to 62 mph in less than five seconds. The S7 joins the RS4 as the second Audi vehicle in the NSW promotional fleet.
Of course, being a "police car," it's loaded up with red and blue LEDs, along with a livery that was chosen by a vote on Audi Australia's Facebook page in 2015.
Other notable loans in the New South Wales police fleet include a, a Volvo S60 Polestar, a and a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe. If they actually were used for pursuit, they'd be damn near impossible to lose, unless the person they were chasing was piloting a million-dollar hypercar.
