There's no getting around it, the Honda Accord Crosstour looks like a reflection in a funhouse mirror. It has the Accord sedan's styling in front, but the grille sits up too high. Contour lines on the sides curve up towards the rear fenders, which stick out like big hips. The roofline takes a long time to curve down towards the rear of the car.
But if you can get beyond the looks, the Crosstour offers some good functionality. First of all, it's a hatchback, meaning a big, accessible cargo area. Second, it comes with all-wheel-drive, giving it a little extra grip in slippery situations. With the Crosstour, it looks like Honda wants to encroach on Subaru territory.
Cabin electronics are held back by a navigation system that's about a decade old. Low resolution maps are almost painful to look at, and there are no connected features such as integrated traffic or weather. This is one car where we would suggest forgoing the nav option.
