Just days after Hyundai gave us our
The wider shots give us a full view of the new, Veloster-fied front end. This is also the clearest looks yet at the hood sculpting and vents. It's difficult to tell whether those vents are functional, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more form than function to be found there. We can also get an idea of how the new front end will work with the rest of the chassis, which, to my eye, appears largely unchanged from the A-pillar to the rear fenders, further reinforcing my belief that this is just a face-lift.Simple face-lifts usually don't come with revolutionary power train changes. So while we know that the V-6 engine will still displace 3.8 liters, there's no word yet as to whether it will get a moderate power boost or if Hyundai will go nuts and perhaps add direct injection for the new model year. The former is more likely and until we hear otherwise, let's just assume that it's still outputting about 306 ponies.
Missing from this batch is a full view of the redesigned rear end, but the last batch of preview shots gave us a reasonably close look at what to expect.
