In brief

Just a few months after launching its first family sedan, Suzuki has added a new top-of-the-range model to the list that boasts a dash of extra equipment and a four-wheel drive system.

Despite its Sport badge, the new model comes equipped with the same 131kW/230Nm 2.4-litre petrol engine that powers other Kizashis. The part-time four-wheel drive system adds 70kg to the car's weight and the only transmission on offer is of the continuously variable variety.

Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, electric seats up front, automatic headlights, dual-zone climate control air-con, sunroof, six airbags and rain-sensing wipers. The Sport AWD's sound system boasts nine speakers, a subwoofer, a CD slot and USB port, and steering wheel audio controls.

The three grand premium over the CVT-equipped XLS nets the driver the aforementioned four-wheel drive system, leather seats with silver stitching, Bluetooth hands-free and a sports body kit including chrome accents, boot lip spoiler, and a different grille and bumper design.

Outlook

The Kizashi Sport AWD is on sale now for AU$39,990. This price includes GST, but excludes statutory and dealer charges.
