The Toshiba Tecra S3 courts business buyers with a durable design and ample security, but it falls short on battery life, performance, and price.
With a fingerprint reader, a Trusted Platform Module, and a durable design, the Toshiba Tecra S3 is clearly designed to appeal to business users. Its component choices include Intel Pentium M processors at speeds between 1.73GHz and 2.26GHz; up to 2GB of swift 533MHz RAM; and 5,400rpm hard drives with capacities up to 100GB. The Tecra S3 ships with a 15-inch standard-aspect display in XGA or SXGA+ resolution; buyers can also choose between a CD-RW/DVD drive and a multilayer DVD burner.
