Tekkeon continues to dabble in all sorts of cell phone accessories with its latest mobile charger, the Tekkeon MyCharger. While the company's previous product, the Tekkeon myPower Go MP1500, delivered emergency juice to your handset through AA batteries, the MyCharger works via good old electricity. So what's the benefit, you ask? Well, similar to the Callpod Chargepod, Tekkeon's product is designed to power multiple devices. So instead of carrying around a charger for each of your cell phones and your iPod, the MyCharger can zap them back to life instead. Unlike the ChargePod, it can't charge multiple gadgets at once, and it's not nearly as eye-catching, but it works fine just the same. It's also cheap at $24.95.

The MyCharger consists of a few parts. There's a black wall charger that measures 2.6 inches tall by 1.8 inches wide by 1 inch deep. The plug fits North American outlets, but adapters are available from Tekkeon ($9.95 for a set of three) for foreign outlets. Accordingly, the charger includes a voltage converter for your international travels. The final feature on the charger is a USB port for connecting cable to your device.

If you can charge your gadget with a USB cable (like an iPod), you can plug the cable directly into the wall charger. Otherwise, you'll use the included retractable USB cable, which then connects to an adapter tip. You get six adapter tips in the box; they'll support most Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Nokia, LG, BlackBerry, and Motorola devices. That's a nice assortment to come in the box, and additional adapters are available from Tekkeon for $2.95 to $6.95 each. You shouldn't have a problem finding an adapter for your phone model.

We tested the Tekkeon MyCharger with a Motorola Razr V3x. The phone started receiving power the second we plugged it in, and a full charge took a couple hours. We also like that the retractable USB cable stretches to 2 feet in length.
