Edge oversharpening stood out as the S600's chief postprocessing problem (top), while purple fringing tended to be its biggest optical artifact (bottom).

Though noise is less of an issue when you view photos at small sizes, there is a visible exposure difference at higher ISO settings. For instance, compare the ISO 200 photo on top with the ISO 800 photo on the bottom.
