It looks like Virgin Mobile has another compelling Android option in the Samsung Galaxy Reverb. Costing $249.99 and available for preorder on August 29, the Galaxy Reverb features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.4GHz Snapdragon S2 processor, and a 4-inch WVGA screen. Rounding out the Reverb's specs are a 5-megapixel main camera and 1.3-megapixel front imaging sensor and 4GB of internal memory. Unfortunately the device is limited to 3G data speeds, so don't expect swift surfing unless connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Outlook
The Samsung Galaxy Reverb is a close match to the HTC One V. Both phones come with Android 4.0 ICS, S2 CPUs (though the One V uses a slower 1GHz chip), and smaller screens compared with the other monsters on the market. The Reverb's plastic construction doesn't inspire me, though, especially when I held it at Virgin Mobile's launch event in New York. I prefer the aluminum unibody chassis of the One V, which I find has a premium feel. That said, the Samsung's AMOLED display has much better contrast. Of course the One V's lower $199.99 sticker price is a good argument to choosing HTC's device over the Galaxy Reverb.
