The Plantronics M114 is a standard, reasonably attractive, and comfortable headband-style headset that features an in-line volume control. Like the step-down model, the M110, the M114 is a bit too conspicuous for walking the streets but ideal for in-car or home use, where it also doubles as a headset for cordless phones. Adjustable comfort
With its padded earpiece covering the entire ear and adjustable headband, the M114 should fit most heads snugly. But on occasion--particularly on hot days--you'll find that your ear may get a little sweaty with extended use. This typically doesn't happen with ear bud-style phones.

7.0

Plantronics M114 Headset

The Good

Comfortable fit; good sound quality; in-line volume control.

The Bad

Conspicuous; no integrated Answer/End button.

The Bottom Line

The M114 is a suitable headband-style headset that is best for in-car and home use.

Like the M110, the M114 has an adjustable mike. It swings down in front of your mouth and can swivel a full 180 degrees, allowing you to wear the headset on either ear. But the most notable feature on this headset is the in-line volume control and mike-sensitivity control.

Consistent sound quality
Though callers said we sounded slightly tinny, they could hear us just fine and vice versa.

The M114 lists for $32.95, but you should be able to find it for closer to $20. It's not a steal at that price, but it's not a bad deal either, especially if you're in the market for a headset that will work with both your mobile and cordless phone.
