Palm Treo 680 - First Take

With a user-friendly interface and decent performance, the Palm Treo 680 is a good smart phone for the first-time buyer or for mobile users looking to be more productive on the road; we just wish it had a better camera and Wi-Fi support.

Quick take: Aimed at a mass audience, the Palm Treo 680 is a good smart phone for first-time buyers. It offers ease of use, decent performance, and a solid set of features, including Bluetooth, e-mail, multimedia capabilities, a touch screen, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Though Cingular is the official carrier, the company only carries the graphite version. If you fancy the crimson, copper, or arctic models, or don't want to be tied down to Cingular, Palm will offer unlocked versions of all four Treo 680 models for $399.
