LG's LB6000 not for thrill-seekers

LG has announced its barebones 6 series LCD, the LB6000, which comes with a minimum of features and presumably a price to match.

LAS VEGAS -- LG has announced its bare-bones 6 series LCD at CES 2014, the LB6000, which comes with a minimum of features and presumably has a price to match.

The LB6000 will come in six screen sizes in total: 42 inches, 47 inches, 50 inches, 55 inches, 60 inches, and 65 inches.

As a fairly basic TV, the LB6000 misses out on a smart TV platform and the upgraded Magic Motion remote. It also lacks any form of local dimming or even 3D playback. It does include 120Hz motion compensation and a 1080p resolution.

LG has yet to announce pricing or availability of the LB6000.
