Quick Take: The HP iPaq rz1715 is the ideal handheld for novices. It has plenty of memory (32MB) to carry contacts and appointments, and its lightweight and compact form factor make it a perfect travel companion. And it even has a fun side, letting you take your photos and music files with you on the go. At $279.99, the PDA is a little expensive, and it doesn't come with wireless connectivity. Still, it's a strong performer and a solid entry-level model. The rz1715 differs only slightly from its sibling, the rz1710. It displays a different start-up screen with shortcuts to your music, your photos, your calendar, and your contacts, and it adds a couple of software apps such as Peacemaker. For a more in-depth look at the rz1715, please refer to CNET's review of the HP iPaq rz1710.
