This personal inkjet printer rivals the Canon Pixma iP4000 and costs $50 less than the similar but office-oriented HP Business Inkjet 1200. The USB-only 1000 model features larger-than-usual ink cartridges to help high-volume users print with fewer refill interruptions. HP estimates that this $150 machine will print 23 pages per minute (ppm) in grayscale and 18ppm color; numbers which, as with all vendor specs, you should take with a grain of salt.
