Hitachi UT32X802

Although CNET did not review the 32-inch Hitachi UT32X812, we did review the 37-inch Hitachi UT37X902. Judging from their spec sheets, the two Hitachi flat-panel LCD monitors are identical but for screen size, different styling for the stand, and native resolution, so we expect the picture quality of the 37-inch model to provide a good indication of how the 32-incher will perform.

The Hitachi UT37X902 has a 1080p resolution and the Hitachi UT32X802 has a 1,366x768 resolution (known as 720p), but if our past reviews are any indication, it's quite difficult for anybody to tell the difference at this screen size. Furthermore, while the Hitachi UT32X802 doesn't have 120Hz processing with dejudder processing, the performance of the two should be very similar otherwise.
