It works off two AAA batteries, giving you 20 hours of play time before you need to insert a fresh pair. To use it, simply plug in your Shuffle's USB connector and wear the attached lanyard around your neck. You can always cut off the lanyard, if you prefer to carry your Shuffle. Note that no cases will fit around your Shuffle while it's attached to the Battery Pack.
