ZTE's Blade V8 Mini and Lite won't break the bank

Meet the Blade V8 Mini in pink and the V8 Lite in blue. ZTE hasn't yet revealed the pricing for these phones, but we know they'll be budget friendly.

The V8 Mini will be available in Asia and Europe, while the V8 Lite is for Italy, Germany and Spain.

While the phone's design isn't anything to shout about, it does run the latest software in the form of Android 7.0 Nougat.

On the rear of the V8 Mini you'll find a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear cameras, which let you shoot "bokeh" pictures with a blurred background effect. You can also refocus the image after taking the shot, which could be a fun thing to play with. The fingerprint sensor is located at the phone's rear.

Both the V8 Mini and V8 lite sport a 5-inch display, but the Lite has a higher full-HD resolution at 1,920x1,080 pixels while the V8 Mini is runs only at HD, or 1,280x720 pixels.

Unlike some Android phones, ZTE is still using physical menu keys.

The phone's rear is clad in metal, which gives it a premium touch.

The V8 Lite doesn't have dual cameras. Instead, it's a standard 8-megapixel shooter, which probably isn't all that exciting.

While the design of the phone is similar, the lack of dual cameras means the V8 Lite won't be as capable of shooting pictures compared with the V8 Mini.
