'Wonder Woman' movie costumes on display at SDCC 2016
DC Comics features an up-close preview of the costumes we'll see in the upcoming "Wonder Woman" film. The heroine's original costume and concept art from the '70s TV show with Lynda Carter also make a showing.
Princess Diana
Wonder Woman is ready for battle. Gal Gadot, who plays the Amazon princess in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," reprises her role for the standalone WW film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 2, 2017.
Each of the mannequins is modeled after its respective actor. Gadot's likeness is seen here.

Queen Hippolyta
Ruler of the Amazons and mother of Wonder Woman/Princess Diana, Queen Hippolyta will be portrayed by Connie Nielsen in the 2017 film. Hippolyta is based on the Amazonian queen of the same name from Greek mythology.

General Antiope
Another Amazon based on Greek mythology, General Antiope is known as Princess Diana's aunt and trainer in the comics. Antiope and Hippolyta raised Diana jointly, and sometimes differed on their parenting philosophies. It'll be interesting to see how this dynamic is shown in the movie. General Antiope will be played by Robin Wright.

Steve Trevor
Based on his introduction in the comics, Steve Trevor is a US intelligence officer who ends up stranded at Wonder Woman's home, becoming her liaison. He's also traditionally been portrayed as Diana's main love interest. Chris Pine will take on the role of Trevor in next year's film.

Blast from the past
In addition to the costumes from the new movie, SDCC guests also got a look at the original costume from the '70s "Wonder Woman" TV show.
