Withings knows what's going on at Home (pictures)
Withings Home combines security and environmental sensors into one tidy DIY camera package.
Withings Home is a uniquely-featured DIY camera that costs $200 in the US and £170 in the UK (availabilty and price in Australia is yet to be determined).
It detects motion and sound as well as air quality.
Use the magnetic base to angle the camera, although you can only make slight adjustments.
The magnet on the bottom of the camera isn't strong enough to hang sideways off of a filing cabinet or tackle any other Netgear Arlo-style acrobatics.
The cover is removable.
Slide the cover left or right to hide the camera.
It features USB, Ethernet and Micro-USB ports.
The speaker has a 300-to-16,000Hz frequency range.
The color-changing lights can alert you to your camera's setup status; you can also use them as a nightlight.
Use the Withings Home iOS app (an Android app is in the works) to view the live feed and opt in and out of the various sensor alerts to suit your needs.
