Apple Pay

With iOS 8.1 installed on your iPhone, you'll now see a little more when you open the Passbook. At the top, you'll now have the option to add credit and debit cards (on iPhone 6 and 6 Plus only) so you can make purchases in stores or online.

Personal Hotspot

The new Personal Hotspot allows your iPhone's 4G LTE connection to be accessed from a nearby Mac.

Camera Roll returns

The Camera Roll was taken out of iOS 8 replaced by other folders in your photo library. After an outcry from iPhone users, Apple brought it back.

Tiered pricing for iCloud Photos in iOS 8.1

You get 5GB of storage for free to start, with extra space costing 99 cents a month for 20GB, $3.99 for 200GB and higher tiers available up to 1TB.

Original resolution in iCloud Photos and Videos

Any photo or video you upload to iCloud will exist in its original format and resolution.

With OS X 10.10 Yosemite, you can also send and receive iMessages and share files via AirDrop across all devices, as well as make and receive phone calls.
