Final Fantasy VII
Sony showed off a brief peek at the PlayStation 4 remake Final Fantasy VII at E3 2015, and we've been teased with screenshots and CG visuals in the intervening years, but no gameplay footage. Maybe if we're very good, Sony will give us something at this year's PlayStation Experience in December.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is coming out for PlayStation 4 and PC very soon -- August 8, to be precise. And there's a very good reason there wasn't a new trailer during Sony's E3 event. It's because it dropped six days ago. Enjoy!
Death Stranding
Hideo Kojima is one of the most eccentric figures in big-league development, and whatever else you might think of his oeuvre, it's always fascinating. His first solo project after leaving Konami, Death Stranding, looks awesomely nuts, with a trailer that launched at E3 2016 starring a naked Norman Reedus ("The Walking Dead"), and another in December starring Mads Mikkelson and Guillermo del Toro. Hands up if you want to know more?
The Last of Us Part II
The trailer for The Last of Us Part II, showing a hardened, tattooed, battle-scarred Ellie playing a dirge on a guitar before declaring she is going to kill "every last one of them", stole the show at the PlayStation Experience in December of last year. Everyone was expecting a gameplay trailer and release date, but for now at least our emotional investment in Ellie's story has to remain on hold.
Bloodborne 2
As much as we'd all like a sequel to the creepy PlayStation 4 exclusive hack-and-slash Bloodborne, sadly nothing has been confirmed or announced by developer FromSoftware. We were hoping for an E3 announcement, but not today, friends. Not today.
