Vizio's 2017 audio range offers Chromecast compatibility

Vizio's 2017 range includes six new sound bars with prices starting at $80, in addition to the new SmartCast Crave Go portable speaker.

The Crave Go is $200 and offers Chromecast built-in streaming in the home and Bluetooth playback outside.

Like the Crave Go there are several new sound bars which also offer Chromecast compatibility including the $250 36-inch 5.1 Sound Bar System.

The $200 SmartCast Crave Go is a compact wireless speaker which offers a premium build and an integrated kickstand. It connects via Wi-Fi to enable users to Cast to it or stream via Bluetooth.

The kickstand on the Crave Go incorporates a USB port and a 3.5mm input.

The new range offers a cloth finish instead of the perforated metal of last year.

Vizio is still offering its 45-inch sound bar from last year which has now come down to a street price of $300.

The Vizio SmartCast 36-inch SB3651-E6n incorporates a 5.1 speaker set with wireless sub and surrounds. It offers HDMI connectivity plus Bluetooth and Chromecast built-in. It's available for $250.

The Vizio SmartCast app has had a refresh since its release last year with a redesigned front page and better functionality.

The Vizio SmartCast range is designed to be compatible with Google Home and can be controlled with your voice.
